About 0.7% of Rosalina's essential oil is obtained by steam distillation from the whole plant, and it is colorless to pale yellow in color. Its primary constituents, linalool and 1.8-cineole, are well-known for their relaxing properties. The fragrance of Rosalina oil is slightly tangy and refreshing reminiscent of Tea Tree, bearing a more gentle aroma. It possesses a robust scent, occasionally described as "sweaty," which may not appeal to everyone. However, it offers a much clearer scent than Tea Tree oil, adding a crisp and fresh quality to blends. Rosalina essential oil pairs harmoniously with sweet fragrances, making it particularly compatible with Geranium, Lavender, and Laurel. Although it has a neutral fragrance, excessive use can accentuate its freshness and acidity and is recommended to add sparingly to maintain a well-balanced aroma blend.
